ESTRAZIONE VINCITORI YOSO CD CONTEST 2010 Ci siamo finalmente con la tanto attesa estrazione dei vincitori che si son aggiudicati i 5 cd degli Yoso. Il GGM Staff vuole ringraziare sentitamente tutti coloro che hanno inviato la loro mail tentando la fortuna.....ne sono arrivate in tutto 384: qualche risposta errata, ma per la maggioranza sono risultate quasi tutte corrette! Per coloro che non hanno vinto, nessuna paura, sta per arrivare un altro contest tra qualche mese.....pazientate ancora un po'! Ringraziamo ancora una volta Frontiers Records per la collaborazione in queste attività. La soluzione esatta al quesito è: Il film della Disney in questione del 1998 è "MULAN". Il GGM Studios, in collaborazione con Frontiers Records, mette in palio 5 cd dell'album degli Yoso, nuovissimo progetto di Bobby Kimball. Non potete assolutamente perdervi questa ghiotta occasione di vincere questo stupendo album soltanto inviando un'e-mail!!! Ricordiamo che ogni cd è nella versione delux, quindi doppio, con il cd di inediti e il cd live registrato in Messico dalla band. Allora che ne pensate?? Non vi sembra un'occasione da non perdere?? ENG - Well guys, we of GGM Studios are very proud to publish the exclusive interview to Jory Steinberg, the new singer on background vocals during last Toto european tour 2010. Thanks a lot Jory......you're a special person and an amazing singer! We hope to see you again next year, always with Toto! INTERVIEW TO JORY STEINBERG Hi Jory, we're really honoured to have some talk with you, expecially now that you're part of a big family called Toto. A lot of Toto fans have asked us for an interview with you because they want to know more about you. Are you ready? Ok, let's start! GGM: I know that some years ago you were part of the US "American Idol" Tv Show. What kind of experience was that?
JORY: Yes, Idol! It was an interesting experience to say the least. It definitely taught me a lot about the not-so-glamorous side of the music industry. But it was definitely something I will always remember. No sleep, some intense hours, but amazing to see how much talent there is in this world that most people never get to see.
GGM: Do you have any kind of solo musical project in the coming future? Are you working on any album or any collaborations?
JORY: There will definitely be some solo stuff coming in the new year. Currently, I am collaborating with a bunch of different artists and writers in LA, and writing some great material that I'm really proud of!
GGM: Apart from singing, do you have any skill with instruments?
JORY: My voice is definitely my strongest and favorite instrument, but I have studied music in general since I was about 8 years old. I started with piano, then violin, and guitar. I really try to learn as much as I can through as many instruments as possible.
GGM: What are you musical influences and what kind of music do you prefer listening?
JORY: That's a tough one because there are so many. I grew up listening to stuff like TOTO, The Beatles, Eric Clapton, Led Zeppelin, Elton John, Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, and now I kinda listen to everything from Radiohead to Alicia Keys to Herbie Hancock. I'm honestly just a huge fan of music in general and I'm really like a sponge; I just love to absorb as much of it as I possibly can.
GGM: Let's go to your recent meeting with Toto. How did you meet the guys and got contacts with the Band?
JORY: I heard about the audition for the tour from a friend of mine who was asked to come, but she couldn't, and so she suggested that I go. I met David Paich, and sang for him, and the rest is as they say, history!
GGM: Did you have an audition? Could you tell us some funny stuff happened during the rehearsals for the European Tour?
JORY: I did have an audition, and I guess it went well!!! There were so many funny things that happened during rehearsals. Remember that these guys have known each other for 30 + years so there are many stories and experiences that they had to share. It was constant fun! Never a dull moment!
GGM: How was your experience of this recent Tour in honor of Mike Porcaro? What was the european city that thrilled you the most?
JORY: My experience on this tour was nothing short of amazing! I got to spend my summer hanging out with guys who are not only the best of the best musicians in this industry, but more importantly are genuinely special human beings who I have the utmost of respect for. It was an honor to be a part of representing for Mike!
I loved all the European cities we were in. Logano was the city I got to spend the most time in, so I guess I really enjoyed that one, but honestly, each city had its own unique vibe that I really dug.
GGM: How was the night of the Toto dvd shooting in Copenhagen? Were you nervous before reaching the stage? Usually do you do any "superstitious ritual" before the show?
JORY: The night of the DVD taping was extremely hot!! We were all sweating before we even stepped out on the stage! Besides that, it was an amazing night! None of us were really nervous. We just really tried to treat it like a regular show and give it our best! Before every show, we all get together and say a quick prayer, and then we head on to the stage!
GGM: With which member of the Band you related the most during the tour?
JORY: Ahhh, good question. We all really became a family on the tour, and we all related to each other for so many reasons. Tough to single out just one.
GGM:Thank you so much Jory for your time! You were really amazing during the tour...and we hope to see you for some italian gigs the next year! Would you like to send any special greetings to all your new fans of GGM Studios?

ITA - Eccoci qua, tornati da Locarno per il concerto dei Toto con importantissime news riguardo il nostro Luke. Come prima cosa vi mostriamo in anteprima quella che è la cover del nuovo disco di Luke, All's well that ends well, che uscirà il prossimo 11 Ottobre. Poi, pronti per la sorpresona........Luke sarà in Tour in Italia ad Ottobre con un nuovissimo progetto......i GOODFELLAS!!! Una rock band tutta inedita, con Steve alla chitarra e voce, Fabrizio VZee Grossi al basso, Steve Weingart alle tastiere e il mitico Kenny Aronoff alla batteria!!! Trattasi di una vera e propria jam-Band, che porterà il suo fantastico groove in Italia ripercorrendo il rock dei Led Zeppelin, il pop dei Beatles, la rafinatezza di Jeff Beck, per finire con i classici del mitico Jimi Hendrix....tutto rivisitatto dalla Band, dalla chitarra indimenticabile di Luke, dall'energia di Kenny,passando per il jazzy di Weingart, con un groove di basso da panico del nostro carissimo Fabrizio Grossi. GGM in missione segreta a Locarno il 15 Luglio scorso!!! Concerto davvero unico e Band in palla come non mai in una cornice fantastica quale la Piazza di Locarno! 15000 persone ad incitare come non mai i Toto ed il loro concerto in onore di Mike Porcaro. Grazie ragazzi !!! Desideriamo ringraziare in modo particolare la Band e tutta la Toto-crew, lo staff di Moon & Stars 2010 Locarno e il mitico Damiano. Grazie davvero di cuore!
